CODE OF CONDUCT

As a PLAYER of Uptown Hoops NYC, I will strive to create a healthy, enjoyable environment by agreeing to the following code of conduct.

  • I will respect my coaches and do as they ask.

  • I will exhibit good sportsmanship at all times.

  • I will treat coaches, referees, and players with respect and kindness.

  • I will take care of the equipment that is provided to me.

  • I will treat the facilities that we use with respect and only be in the designated areas I am supposed to be in.

  • I will represent Uptown Hoops NYC with a positive attitude and understand that my actions impact others.

  • I will try to enjoy the session and HAVE FUN.

As a PARENT of Uptown Hoops NYC, I will strive to create a healthy, enjoyable environment by agreeing to the following code of conduct.

  • I will remember I am here for the participants to enjoy the game.

  • I will encourage participation but not force it.

  • I am here to support and not ridicule mistakes.

  • I will treat coaches, referees, and players with respect and kindness.

  • I will respect all volunteers who are giving up their time to help our players.

  • I will not publicly criticize coaches or referees and raise personal concerns privately.

  • I will observe the sessions and will refrain from entering the court or approach the coaches or referees  while sessions in progress.

  • I will, at all times, demonstrate the utmost in sportsmanship and integrity.
