Why does one person live 99 years and another only 10?

 

That is one of the most challenging and painful mysteries of life.

 

The value of a life isn’t measured by its’ length - we cannot predict how long we or anyone else will live.   

 

I am sure that Ryan brought years of joy to his two moms and hopefully, with time, their pain can be eased by sweet memories of their time with him.

 

Each day that we get to live is a gift. We should embrace it and hug (in person or virtually) our loved ones every single day.

 

Ryan touched the lives of every coach at Uptown Hoops with his infectious smile.  He always had a high five or fist bump ready to deliver.

 

I will hold in my heart the joy that he brought to our program, the last high five he gave me on the way out of the gym back in June, his absolute joy playing the game that many of us love -  Basketball is Life!

 

I am glad that our basketball program brought some joy to Ryan and his family.  The impact that Ryan had on us will stay with us forever.
